Product description The 16x9 Inc. Cine Base M15 for DSLR Cameras is a 15mm rod support plate designed to mount onto studio baseplates and provide a means to add camera accessories while maintaining balance on a tripod or other support system. It features a camera support plate, 15mm baseplate, and a universal compact dovetail. It also includes a pair of 15mm rods 12" in length and a pair of 8" extension rods for a total rod length of 20". The camera support plate offers multiple thread locations to secure your camera. A bottom dovetail design allows the plate to securely and quickly mount onto the 15mm rod baseplate. A safety lock secures the plate in place and serves as a quick-release mechanism to slide your camera off of the baseplate. The baseplate uses a dual-locking mechanism to securely lock the 15mm rods in place. It mounts to the included 9" dovetail or any ARRI-style dovetail or studio baseplate. It can also mount to tripods via 1/4"-20 and 3/8"-16 threaded holes. A secure locking level on the camera operator's side secures the baseplate onto the dovetail, preventing the baseplate from sliding on the rails. A redundant locking mechanism is also available in the form of a 3/32" set-screw, which activates a spring loaded brake. Sliding the baseplate along the 9" dovetail plate helps you balance your rig which may be front or rear heavy once accessories are added. This helps obtain a center of gravity when using mounting your rig onto tripods. The baseplate can be released from the dovetail simply by pressing the spring-loaded locking mechanism. - Cine Base M15
