Product description The 16x9 Inc. Cine Base M15 for Sony PMW-F3 is a rod-based support system that mounts onto studio baseplates and helps balance of your camera-lens-accessory setup on a tripod or other supporting platform. Designed for those into filmmaking, this equipment can be easily adjusted and readjusted with the flick of a quick-release lever. It consists of 20” industry-standard 15mm support rods (a front 12” section and an 8” rear section), a compact 9” dovetail sliding baseplate, and camera support spacer.
Sliding the mounted camera setup on the cine base helps achieve a balance with regard to the former's center of gravity, whereas, rods can support the weight of added heavy accessories. The provided camera support spacer raises the camera's height in order to align the camera-lens with matte boxes. - Cine Base M15 Kit

Has two thread hole patterns, first row features 1/4"-20 and 3/8"-16 female threads, and the second row includes 3/8"-16 female threads
Multiple threads offer additional support for your camera and prevent it from shifting
Carved out of solid aluminum - Camera Support Spacer
- Ensures proper height alignment for your camera when adding a matte box and/or sunshade onto the rods
Safety Lock mechanism automatically and securely locks the plate
Redundant locking mechanism is activated on the side panel
3/32" Set-screw activates a spring-loaded brake-system to avoid the plate from shifting off the 15 mm Cine Base or Compact Dovetail
Made out of solid aluminum for rigid support
Two thread hole patterns to accommodate several tripods, first row consists of an alternative 1/4"-20 and 3/8"-16 female threads for use with small to mid-sized tripods, and second row has 3/8"-16 female threads for use with larger cine-style tripods and gear heads - 15 mm Support Rods
- Two 12" heavy-duty 15 mm industry-standard aluminum rods and two 8" extension rods for a combined length of 20"
For mounting accessories such as matte box and/or sunshade
Dual-locking mechanism for securely locking the rods onto the cine base
Individual lock levers to adjust the rods individually for fine tuning - Universal Compact Dovetail
- Provides an ingenious quick-release mechanism allowing a faster and easier method for removing the 15 mm Support Base
Ensures rigid support and a wide range of balance adjustment capability
Offers 9” of smooth travel space for proper camera balancing
Secure Locking Mechanism - locks the cine base onto the dovetail
Locking Lever activates a spring-loaded brake-system for preventing the cine base from sliding on the dovetail rails
You have to press the spring-loaded locking mechanism to the direction shown on the Compact Dovetail to release
Delrin compound ensures smooth sliding without any binding movements to balance your camera
