Product description Time-Lapse Tips and Tools Read More - 3 Legged Thing Punks Trent Magnesium Alloy Monopod
In a predominantly black color scheme, the Corey Aluminum Travel Tripod with AirHed Neo Ball Head from 3 Legged Thing is a five-section aluminum tripod which extends to a maximum height of 58" and drops as low as 4". At the 23° angle leg spread, which is considered a normal stance, the tripod can support a maximum of 30 lb, however, when the legs are set at the 55° and 80° stances they may support less weight. The implementation of rubber-coated twist locks is also a welcome addition, improving grip and protecting user's hands from a hot or cold aluminum surface.
The 2-section rapid center column can be used upright or inverted, enabling the user to raise the tripod to any height, while using either section of the center column to make small adjustments. Inverting the legs 180° allows the user to fold the tripod down to just 13.7" for travel or storage.
The included Neo ball head is an ultra compact, single lock head which features one knob for control of both the pan and ball. A separate knob controls the lock for the Arca-type compatible clamp which includes a basic Arca-style plate with 1/4"-20 mounting thread.
As is common with 3 Legged Thing tripods, the Corey features a detachable leg with standard 3/8"-16 threads at both ends. The Tri-mount center column plate and threaded bolt can be unscrewed and removed from the top of the center column, then screwed directly onto the leg. The detachable leg can be used as a monopod, microphone boom, or selfie stick depending on the needs of the user. - 3 Position Leg-Angle Stops
- The legs spread to three angles of 23°, 55°, and 80°
- Reversible Folding Legs
- Fold legs 180° in reverse for compactness and storage
- Arca-Type Ball Head
- Ball head utilizes an Arca-type clamp and includes an Arca-type compatible quick release plate
