Product description The red PLA Plastic CubeX Cartridge from 3D Systems is compatible with the CubeX 3D printer. The cartridge snaps right into the CubeX 3D printer for easy access. The CubeX can also tell how much filament you have left and won't let you start a new 3D print if you don't have enough filament to finish it to prevent waste. PLA is a biodegradable thermoplastic that has been derived from renewable resources like corn starch and sugar cane. This makes PLA environmentally friendly and very safe to work with. PLA also has a very sharp glass transition point so if you use a fan to cool it, it will set into a solid very quickly. PLA can achieve a greater range of geometries than are possible with other plastics. It also reduces the thermal stress on the printed part, making warping less of an issue with larger PLA parts. PLA does not require any curing or post-production treatment. Should you wish to, however, PLA can be sanded and coated with automotive spray filler. PLA can also be painted over with acrylic paint. CubeX cartridges are NOT compatible with the Cube 3D printer. - PLA Plastic Recycling
- Send your used PLA printed parts to 3D Systems in Herndon, VA or Clevedon, UK locations or drop them off at the meet ups hosted at their New York City and San Francisco centers. 3D Systems will properly and responsibly compost, recycle, and reuse your returned plastics parts as a renewable source to manufacture new cartridges reducing both raw materials consumption and the waste stream

- Send your empty CubeX cartridges to 3D Systems and receive a $5 discount per cartridge you send back for future cartridge purchases. You can send cartridges to their Herndon, VA and Clevedon, UK locations using the label that comes with each cartridge. You can also bring back empty cartridges to their monthly meet ups that are hosted at our New York City and San Francisco centers, or to any of their 30 locations worldwide. Be sure to keep the address label that comes with each cartridge whether you ship or drop off empty cartridges for recycling
