Product description The EM-Silver 500 Series Microphone Preamp from A-Designs is one of the company's five 500 series-compatible mic/line preamps, each one voiced for a specific sonic functionality by using different alloys for the windings on their custom-wound transformers to create a particular tonal character. The EM-Silver has a dark tone that is derived from its custom-wound steel output transformer, which makes it a suitable match for ribbon microphones since steel transformers were widely used in the early days of recording and broadcast. It is ideal for bass guitar and keyboards, and also killer on kick drum. For brighter sound sources, the preamp provides less top end or a vintage-type sound, especially when used with ribbon mics, or on brighter, modern condenser mics to smooth out the top end. The module is built with a 1/4" mic/line input and has 48V phantom power with an LED to indicate when it is active. A phase button and dB pad are also located on the front panel, along with a large gain control knob. With five distinctive preamp modules to choose from, the EM 500 series platform makes it possible to construct your own custom signal-processing array. The EM-Silver 500 Series Microphone Preamp is compatible with any API or VPR Alliance mounting device, and also meets the precise power rating requirements necessary to function from the moment you plug it in. My 3-9x42 Ncstar on my ar15 shoots 1inch low at 5 yards. I removed the adapter to lower the scope but getting same results. This my first Ncstar so I’m wondering if maybe something is wrong with it. My other scopes are Nixons on a 30-06 and 308.
