• • New Slicing Options: Chop samples by beat divisions or regions, as well as manually or by transients (a new Simpler feature that also works without Push)
  • New Drum Layout: 16 set velocity levels for playing and programming more dynamic beats
  • Hands-On Audio Routing: Select and record ins and outs directly from Push for sampling internal or external audio without disrupting your flow
  • Visual Feedback for Tighter Recordings: New display info shows clip phase and count-in so you can start and finish clip recordings more accurately
  • Hands-On Color Customization: Color pads, tracks and clips using Push to make your live performance easier
  • Better Playability: Pad sensitivity adapts to what you play, whether it’s drums or sustained chords
  • Better Sampling with Simpler: Simpler has been completely overhauled with a new interface, warping, slicing, and new analog-modeled filters built in conjunction with Cytomic. Slice samples across the keyboard, play single hits, or warp long samples so that they always stay in time with your song
  • Improved waveforms and coloring: New waveforms show more detail and zoom and scroll smoothly. To help keep your Sets organized, new clips take their track’s color, and tracks are now automatically colored by default
  • Peak and RMS Meters: Updated meters show both peak and RMS, to indicate both sudden changes in level as well as perceived loudness. This makes it easier to control the dynamics of both individual tracks and your overall mix
  • Analog-Modeled Filters: Based on classic vintage hardware models that will self-resonate, feedback, and distort beautifully. These filters were built in collaboration with Cytomic and are included in Simpler, Sampler, Operator, and Auto Filter
  • More Sounds, Samples, and Drums: The library of included sounds has been updated to get you making music even faster. This includes new drum kits, presets using the new analog-modeled filters, hundreds more one shots, and new audio clips
  • Play in Time with Link: Jam with Live and a growing collection of other music applications. Link is a new technology that keeps you in time over a wireless network

  • Software that allows for creating ideas and making changes without stopping using two project windows
  • Arrangement View uses the traditional track-style convention where time moves from left to right, while tracks are stacked vertically

  • Extract musical ideas from samples and build upon them
  • Convert drum-breaks with the Drums-to-MIDI feature and reuse them with custom sounds
  • Speed up remixing work by using Harmony-to-MIDI to get the notes and chords from the original audio stems
  • Sketch out ideas quickly by singing (or beatboxing) into Live and converting the recording into MIDI
  • Sing, beatbox, tap a rhythm, or play any solo instrument to capture musical ideas as they come and then use the Melody- or Drums-to-MIDI feature to turn the recordings into MIDI clips that can edited and reused with any sound
