Product description

Basic Laptops The 14" 32GB Chromebook 14 from Acer runs on the Google Chrome operating system, which relies on Internet connectivity for full access to its features. While it may be a cloud-based computing solution, it's still capable of the daily functions you need in a portable computer. Equipped with a 1.6 GHz Intel Celeron N3160 quad-core processor and 4GB of LPDDR3 RAM, the Chromebook 14 enables you to efficiently multitask as well as quickly access frequently used files and programs.

Its 14" display, driven by integrated Intel HD graphics, has a 1920 x 1080 resolution for crisp and clear HD content with vivid colors. An HDMI port will let you connect an external display for enhanced multitasking and larger viewing. Like all Chromebooks, storage is limited, so it only has 32GB of eMMC storage. Should you need more space, you can connect additional storage devices using its USB ports. Otherwise, pair compatible wireless peripherals using Bluetooth 4.2. Other integrated features include 802.11ac Wi-Fi, speakers, a microphone, a webcam, and a 3.5mm audio in and out combo jack.

Please note that in order to take full advantage of Chrome OS, you will need to be connected to the Internet.

  • Using Linux as a base, Google designed Chrome OS to work exclusively with web applications. The user interface takes a minimalist approach, which greatly resembles the Google Chrome web browser. Chrome OS was built for people who spend a majority, if not all, of their time on the computer connected to the Internet. The only application that comes installed on Chrome OS is a special Google Chrome web browser with an integrated media player and file manager. All other applications are accessed by adding apps from the Google Chrome Web Store. Since Chrome OS relies entirely on Google's web apps and access to Google's services, it is highly recommended that you connect to the Internet to optimize your Chrome OS experience.
