Product description Basic Laptops The 15.6" 32GB Chromebook 315 from Acer is preinstalled with Chrome OS, which features a user-friendly interface that offers a unique computing experience enhanced by the internet. Specs-wise, this laptop is equipped with a 1.6 GHz AMD A4-9120C dual-core processor, 4GB of DDR4 SDRAM, and 32GB of eMMC flash storage. When it comes to visuals, the Chromebook 315 sports an HD 1366 x 768 anti-glare ComfyView LCD panel and is powered by an integrated AMD Radeon R4 Graphics chipset.
Like most Chromebooks, storage space is limited, so you can expand its storage capabilities using its USB ports or microSD card reader. The Chromebook 315 houses two USB 3.1 Gen 1 Type-A ports and two Thunderbolt 3/USB 3.1 Gen 1 Type-C ports. Other integrated features include Wi-Fi 5 (802.11ac), Bluetooth 4.1, Gigabit Ethernet, a 720p webcam, microphone, speakers, and a 3.5mm combo audio jack. - Green Compliance Certificate

- Thunderbolt 3 is a hardware interface that utilizes the reversible USB Type-C connector. Doubling the speed of its predecessor, Thunderbolt 3 features a maximum throughput of 40 Gb/s when used with compatible devices. The connector also transmits data via USB 3.1 at up to 10 Gb/s, and dual-bandwidth DisplayPort 1.2 allows you to connect up to two 4K displays simultaneously. Additionally, you can daisy chain up to six devices from a single Thunderbolt 3 port.

- Using Linux as a base, Google designed Chrome OS to work exclusively with web applications. The user interface takes a minimalist approach, which greatly resembles the Google Chrome web browser. Chrome OS was built for people who spend a majority, if not all, of their time on the computer connected to the internet. The only application that comes installed on Chrome OS is a special Google Chrome web browser with an integrated media player and file manager. All other applications are accessed by adding apps from the Google Chrome Web Store. Since Chrome OS relies entirely on Google's web apps and access to Google's services, it is highly recommended that you connect to the internet to optimize your Chrome OS experience.
