Product description The AB-25-5800W Power Booster from ACUPWR is a clean power solution for anyone using a 220/230/240/250V, 50 Hz high-power motor or appliances in countries such as the United States, Canada, Taiwan, or anyplace with a 60 Hz standard. The AB-25-5800W works in conjunction with a step-up transformer or alone with a 220V outlet to provide up to a 25V boost so that a 50Hz motor works at the exact RPMs necessary for optimal performance without burnout. - American-Made Quality
- The AB models are manufactured in the USA with premium components that include copper wiring and silicon steel cores. All transformers are assembled by hand, and bench-tested well beyond their stated wattage to ensure safety, reliability, and years of service.
- Goes Above Stated Wattage If Needed
- AB models work at 20% beyond its stated wattage if necessary, such as in the event of a power surge or inrush voltage. In such an instance, it's nice to know that the wattage "cushion" is there. Please note that using an appliance with a wattage requirement that is beyond what's stated on the transformer is not recommended.
- Thermal Protection
- The AB models use a thermal protection circuit instead of fuses. This circuit detects excessive heat caused by an overload. The circuit automatically turns off the transformer and restarts the unit when it has returned to normal operating temperature.
