Product description Extend the distance of your USB 2.0/1.1 peripherals up to 330' from your host system using Cat5e/6/7 cable, with the AdderLink C-USB 2.0 Extender from Adder. This is accomplished by using a local module, with a USB Type-B port, which interfaces with your host system via an included cable and an RJ45 jack. Using a Cat5e or better cable, the local module is connected to the RJ45 jack on a remote module, also equipped with a USB Type-A port. which then connects to your USB device. Both local and remote modules have a power jack, and the included 100-240 VAC power adapter operates at 50/60 Hz and can deliver power through either module. - The AdderLink C-USB modules are designed to quickly and easily blend into your existing configuration. They feature side slots allowing them to be cable-tied to most surfaces.
- Support for Most USB Devices
- The AdderLink C-USB provides a great amount of flexibility, supporting almost every type of USB 2.0 or 1.1 device. Whichever transfer mode your USB device needs, you're covered. Compatible devices include video equipment, keyboards, and hard drives, with transfer modes that include isochronous, interrupt, and bulk transfer.
- Plug-and-Play, Transparent Operation
- Once connected, operation is totally transparent to the host system, any USB peripheral, and the user. There are no drivers to install, and your USB devices will work as they've done before, only now they can be up to 330' away from the host.
- Usable with Most Operating Systems
- The AdderLink C-USB modules are independent of virtually all operating systems.
- Flexible Power
- The whole system can be powered from either end, allowing you to connect the supplied mains power adapter to either the local or remote modules, as is most convenient for your installation. A full 500mAh current is made available to your USB peripheral. The power adapter is fully auto-sensing, so it can adapt to any mains input from 100 to 240 VAC.
- Green Indicator Light
- Each module is adorned with a single green indicator. Only when the power, cable link, and host USB connections are all valid will the green indicator on each module illuminate.
