Product description Designed for educators and home hobbyists, the EinScan-SE (Elite) 3D Scanner with Turntable from Afinia is able to create 3D models with high accuracy for a range of creative 3D printing and design applications. The EinScan-SE is able to scan using two modes - auto and fixed. A fixed scan is used without the turntable, where the user has to manually turn the object and perform a scan after each time the object is turned, making it useful for objects too large for the turntable. Fixed scans are usually done with the scanner head mounted on a user-supplied tripod. In auto scan mode, the object to be scanned is placed on the turntable and the scanning software will automatically turn the object and scan the item from multiple angles that add up to 360°. The software also automatically stitches each of these scans into one object. The EinScan-SE must be used with either the turntable or a tripod and does not have any handheld functions.
The Afinia EinScan-SE scans using a white light source, which is created by a projector and is safer than laser scanning, has an accuracy of ≤0.1mm, can scan items as small as 1.2 x 1.2 x 1.2", and as large as 27.6 x 27.6 x 27.6". Automatic scanning takes around 2 minutes, while fixed scans take around 8 seconds, and completed scans can be printed on Afinia's H800+, H480, and H400 3D printers. This scanner is compatible with Windows 10, 8, and 7 systems running at least a Core i5 CPU with 8GB of RAM, 16GB of hard drive space, and an NVIDIA series graphics card with 1GB of video memory. Included is a calibration pattern assembly, a USB cable, a power cord, and a power adapter. General Features - High Accuracy
