Product description The AJA KONA 5 is an 8-lane PCIe 3.0 I/O card designed for demanding video and audio editing workflows. It features four bidirectional 12G-SDI HD-BNC connectors for ingest and output, an HDMI 2.0 output for monitoring, and a reference input. An included breakout cable additionally provides AES audio input/output, LTC timecode input/output, and an RS-422 connection. The KONA 5 supports up to HFR DCI 4K and HDR10/HLG HDR video and up to 12-bit 4:4:4 color spaces, including via the HDMI output.
Being bidirectional, the SDI connectors allow for simultaneous capture and monitoring over SDI for DCI, UHD, 2K, and HD video. 12G-capable, the connectors also provide less points of failure while offering 6G/3G/1.5G backwards-compatibility. When used as 3G-SDI for DCI/UHD video, all four connectors can be used for input or output only. The KONA 5 also has a built-in hardware downstream keyer that allows graphics and images to be easily overlaid on the input video in real time. - Compatibility
