Product description The AKG PR4500 ENG SET/HT Wireless System (Band 7) features the PR4500 wireless receiver, the HT4500 wireless handheld microphone transmitter, and the D5/WL1 supercardioid dynamic microphone capsule. This system is designed to cater to those looking for a wireless kit for the broadcast and recording of ENGs, or electronic news gatherings, and EFPs, or electronic field productions. It provides all the tools you need for micing, transmitting, and receiving audio for broadcast.
The AKG PR4500 receiver is capable of receiving on up to 18 channels simultaneously, which helps boost signal strength and decrease interference. It has a lightweight, six-ounce all metal body that is designed to be mounted on a variety of camcorders, DSLR cameras, or other A/V gear using the included hot shoe adapter. The PR4500 features a 1/8" TRS headphone out for monitoring your sound, as well as an XLR line output to feed your camera. It is powered by the two included AA batteries or the optional BP4000 battery pack, which provide the unit with up to 12 hours of battery life.
The HT 4500 wireless handheld microphone transmitter produces up to 50mW RF which results in significantly reduced signal interference and dropouts. It operates on a 30MHz UHF band, which allows it to provide up to 1200 selectable frequencies for transmission. You can search through these frequencies manually or by using the provided frequency presets. The pilot tone system automatically sends transmitter data such as remaining battery life and mute switch position to the receiver for monitoring by the sound engineer. It is powered by the two included AA batteries or the optional BP4000 battery pack, which provide the unit with up to 15 hours of battery life.
The PR4500 ENG SET/HT Wireless System (Band 7) also includes the AKG D5/WL1 supercardioid dynamic microphone capsule. The D5/WL1 capsule is designed to work with the HT 4500 microphone transmitter. It features a low noise design thanks to its supercardioid polar pattern which helps eliminate off axis noise and a dual shock mount which eliminates any mechanical noise in the capsule itself. Thanks to AKG's Laminated Varimotion diaphragm which provides better control of capsule resonances, the D5/WL1 exhibits cleaner and more accurate sound reproduction. - PR4500 ENG Pocket Receiver (Band 7) The AKG PR4500 ENG Pocket Receiver (Band 7) is a two AA battery powered wireless receiver that can be camera mounted and operates on band 7 between 500 to 530 MHz.
