Product description The PR4500 ENG Set Wireless System (Band 7) from AKG features the PR4500 wireless camera mountable receiver, the PT4500 wireless bodypack receiver, and a CK 99 L miniature lavalier clip-on microphone. This system is designed to cater to those looking for a wireless kit that can fulfill ENG (electronic news gathering) and EFP (electronic field production) needs.
The AKG PR4500 ENG Pocket Receiver has a lightweight, six ounce all-metal body and is designed to be mounted on a variety of camcorders, DSLR cameras, or other A/V gear using the included hot shoe adapter. It is capable of broadcasting on up to 18 channels simultaneously, which helps boost signal strength and decrease interference. The PR4500 features a 1/8" TRS headphone out for monitoring your sound, as well as a XLR output and can be powered by the two included AA batteries or the optional BP4000 battery pack.
The PT4500 Bodypack Transmitter was designed to work with guitar, bass, or vocal inputs. Its lightweight, three-ounce body and included belt clip allow the PT4500 to be carried easily. With an RF power output of up to 50mW, the PT4500 is resistant to common interference and signal dropouts. The unit is powered by two included AA batteries or the optional BP4000 battery pack, which is re-chargeable by the unit itself. The PT4500 also has a pilot tone system that sends transmitter status information to the receiver, such as remaining battery life or mute switch position. A backlit display and jog switch allow for faster channel selection and pairing with the PR4500.
The miniature lavalier CK 99 L clip-on microphone features a 5' cable and an inconspicuous design thanks to its lightweight, 0.08 ounce body. It has a slight frequency boost at 10 kHz to bring out clarity in vocals and dialog, as well as a directional cardioid polar pattern to help reject noise.
