Product description The STS DAM+ WLS from AKG is a modular and flexible conference tabletop base that is designed to hold a wireless bodypack transmitter, a single AA battery and a gooseneck microphone (sold separately). It can be used to capture audio when paired with a mixer for applications such as boardrooms, conference halls, court rooms, and more. The STS DAM+ WLS base features a built-in mini-XLR connector to attach the optional bodypack transmitter to the inside of the housing. There is also a space for a single AA battery that powers the unit. An optional microphone capsule with a gooseneck is then attached to the base and closing the cover activates the unit. In addition, a button press on the STS DAM+ WLS base activates a mute switch/LED and a light ring on the gooseneck to indicate the mic is on and is active. A second press deactivates the microphone without switching off the transmitter. A 3.5mm input is also available to connect laptops or a wireless multimedia presentation.
