Product description House of Worship: Sound Reinforcement from Course Technology and written by Jamie Rio and Chris Buono provides everything you need to know to become a sound technician in a house of worship and beyond. Starting with the basic foundations of sound, you'll progress into learning how the sound in your house of worship is captured with microphones, fed into the mixing console, processed, and then sent out through the speaker system to both the congregation and the worship team. About the Author: President and founder of dti Publishing Jamie Rio's first foray into the music industry goes back almost three decades to when he recorded and toured throughout Brazil with his band, BackStreets. He later worked as a recording engineer in a variety of studios in the Los Angeles area, while continuing to record music and tour with various bands. As Jamie's expertise in sound reinforcement developed, he found himself focusing more on technical reference journalism and starting his live sound company, RioDeluxe Audio. Since the creation of RioDeluxe Audio, Jamie has been behind the console for more than 3,000 live events. Jamie also currently writes the "Sound Sanctuary" column for F.O.H. magazine.
