Product description Engineered for versatility and built for performance, the Alpine Astronomical Baader 10x60 Multi-Purpose Vario-Finder is more than just a finderscope—it can be configured for a number of other uses including as a spotting scope, a guidescope, or part of a wide-field imaging rig. Outfitted with proprietary Phantom Coating Group multi-coatings to maximize light transmission and improve image brightness, clarity, and contrast, the finder is a competent optic in its own right. To focus it, the drawtube moves forward and back with 35mm of distance and can be locked in place for imaging and autoguiding.From watching birds on the back porch, to serving as the back of a large scope or helping correct delicate tracking errors, the Vario-Finder can handle an array of tasks with ease. - As a Finder

- Use the illuminated-reticle 25mm eyepiece to produce 10x power and maintain a wide field of view
- The included diagonal provides clearance for the eyepiece illuminator and makes it more comfortable to view through
- Perfect for aligning large reflectors, catadioptrics, and Dobsonians, and for star-hopping navigation
- Use other eyepieces if you prefer not to have illumination, or if you want more or less power based on preference or conditions

- The diagonal has an Amici erecting prism to correct views for using the finder as a conventional spotting scope
- The prism accepts any 1.25" astronomical eyepiece, the magnification can be made more or less powerful, and you don't have to use the illuminated reticle (which can interfere with ground-based views)
- The finder's mounting shoe is compatible with many photo and field tripod head quick-release plates, with a 1/4"-20 threaded socket for compatibility with most tripods and other support systems
- For Astrophotography or Autoguiding
