Product description As part of their T-2 Astro modular accessory system, the Alpine Astronomical Baader 2" Deluxe Clamping Eyepiece Holder is compatible with all extensions, rings, adapters, and other accessories in the line. It improves on the traditional design with precision machining to tight tolerances that limit eyepiece slop and play so it stays centered on the optical axis. Two large thumbscrews and a bronze compression ring provide a secure three-point clamp that won't mark or mar an eyepiece. The telescope side of the holder is threaded for direct connection onto Schmidt-Cassegrain telescope (SCT) visual back threads. For other applications, the holder can be used with diagonals and other visual and photographic components by using any of the T-2 Astro parts.
