Product description Built in Germany to Zeiss' exacting standards, the Alpine Astronomical Baader 2x Carl Zeiss Abbe Barlow Lens features extra-low-dispersion glass elements and anti-reflection fully multi-coated optics to maximize light transmission and produce bright and crisp high-contrast images across the entire field of view. By adding an optional T-2 extension tube, the magnification can be boosted to 3x for even higher magnifications.Designed for 1.25" eyepieces and drawtubes, the Barlow gets an upgrade from the conventional bronze locking ring and set screws with the addition of the 1.25" Baader Click-Lock eyepiece holder. This system uses three long roller bearings to hold and center the eyepiece firmly in place without marking or marring it. A simple twist locks and unlocks the clamping system for fast eyepiece changes, and the top of the clamp comes off to reveal T-2 mounting threads that accept camera-specific T-rings and adapters. The top of the Click-Lock has 6.5mm of travel for use as a micro-focuser or to adjust its height for matching other accessories.
