Product description Centered on the 486nm wavelength and passing a narrow 8.5nm half bandwidth, the Alpine Astronomical Baader H-beta 8.5nm CCD Narrowband Nebula Filter isolates a band that is easy to see—making it ideally suited for both visual and astrophotography use on telescopes with apertures of 8" and larger, or if you're working with large exit pupils. Through this filter contrast will be greatly increased, revealing hidden details of bright nebulae, and allowing you to see nebulae that were previously unviewable.Individually planeoptically polished, dielectric anti-reflection coated, and IR blocked, this filter uniformly passes the maximum amount of bandwidth possible to virtually eliminate halos, reflections, and ghosting. It is offered here mounted in an aluminum frame that has been threaded to fit standard 1.25" eyepieces and accessories for projection and afocal imaging techniques. This filter is intended only for deep-sky viewing and astrophotography, and should never be used for direct solar viewing or solar photography as permanent injury to your eye and equipment can occur, up to and including blindness.
