Product description Use the Alpine Astronomical Baader Low Infrared Red CCD Photometric Imaging R-Filter to capture images of the night sky in a targeted wavelength with your CCD imaging system. Centered on the 710nm wavelength, its bandpass is located slightly outside the visible spectrum making this red filter one of the three primary colors that are used along with blue and green to produce custom composite pictures of celestial objects like planets, galaxies, and nebulae. The glass filter is precision planeoptically polished for distortion-free throughput, and dielectrically coated to maximize transmission through it. It comes mounted in a standard 1.25" eyepiece filter frame for easy compatibility with most imaging system nosepieces, extension tubes, and eyepieces.
