Product description Assembled for use with their Flat Field Converter (FFC) and Telecentric systems, the Alpine Astronomical Baader M68 Tele-Compendium provides a solid and secure connection between your camera/imaging system and telescope. It resists flexing that can render images unusable. A variety of extension tubes allow you to precisely set the length of the unit to achieve the perfect focus, while the end adapters fit the most popular size of telescope and camera connections. All that is needed is a camera-specific adapter to mount the camera onto the Tele-Compendium. - Baader 4-in-1 2" T-2 Adapter The Alpine Astronomical Baader 4-in-1 2" T-2 Adapter is designed to fit the most popular telescope mounting sizes with standard T-2 threads for photo accessories. Its outer threads fit M68 (Zeiss), 2.7" (Astrophysics), M60 (Vixen), and M56 female threads (China). Male T-2 photo threads and female M68 threads are used to mount photo accessories such as extension tubes and rings.
- Baader T-2 40mm Extension Tube An optional part of their modular Astro T-2 system, the Alpine Astronomical Baader T-2 40mm Extension Tube can be used throughout the system to add the proper spacing between different components. The extension has internal T-2 threads on one end with external T-2 threads on the other for easy use. You can use the extension tubes anywhere you need to precisely space and couple any of the T-2 components, in configurations of your own design.
- Example of Uses
-
- Stack this 40mm tube with another of the same size or the two other sizes—15mm and 7.5mm—for precise spacing
- Use with the Alpine telecompressor to vary the spacing of the lens relative to a camera or eyepiece for precise placement
- Provide a secure way of varying an eyepiece-to-camera separation (projection ratio)
- Use with the afocal and ocular projection (OPFA) system
- Use with the Multi-Purpose Coma Corrector to accurately locate and couple the coma corrector to eyepieces
- Baader M68 Extension Tube (80mm) The 80mm-long Alpine Astronomical Baader M68 Extension Tube is part of their Tele-Compendium astrophotography system. Using this tube by itself, or stacked with other sizes of extension tubes, enables you to adjust the focal length according to the needs of your setup to achieve the best results. The inside of the tube is blackened so stray light is blocked, helping to maintain maximum contrast.
- Baader 2" T-2 Nosepiece An optional part of their modular Astro T-2 system, the Alpine Astronomical Baader 2" T-2 Nosepiece allows an array of accessories and eyepieces to fit into 2" drawtubes, focusers, and visual backs. The nosepiece has both standard eyepiece filter threads and a second set of female T-2 threads to enable even more uses within the T-2 system. It also has male T-2 threads, which allow you to mount your T-2 accessories like the Baader Amici prism as well as a DSLR or imager for afocal and ocular projection photography techniques.
- Baader Ultra-Short 2" Eyepiece Holder Outfitted with both M68 and M60 male mounting threads, the Alpine Astronomical Baader Ultra-Short 2" Eyepiece Holder is designed to fit a wide variety of focusers, including all SteelTrack and 3.5" Hyperion, while providing a short back focus distance. When using the M68 mounting threads the back focus distance is 12.4mm, and 17.4mm with the M60 threads. Designed to accept standard 2" eyepieces and accessories like diagonals, the holder has three thumbscrews that allow the eyepiece to be properly centered and to resist canting or tilting. The internal brass compression ring ensures the eyepiece's nosepiece won't get marked or marred.A ring on the eyepiece-side of the holder is removable to reveal M68 male threads. These threads allow you to mount M68 extension tubes and rings to work as a 2" eyepiece holder for eyepiece projection astrophotography techniques, to accommodate the Fluorite Flat-Field Converter into the beam of light, or to mount a Telecentric System.
- Baader M68 Extension Tube (40mm) The 40mm-long Alpine Astronomical Baader M68 Extension Tube is part of their Tele-Compendium astrophotography system. Using this tube by itself, or stacked with other sizes of extension tubes, enables you to adjust the focal length according to the needs of your setup to achieve the best results. The inside of the tube is blackened so stray light is blocked, helping to maintain maximum contrast.
- Baader M68 Extension Tube (10mm) The 10mm-long Alpine Astronomical Baader M68 Extension Tube is part of their Tele-Compendium astrophotography system. Using this tube by itself, or stacked with other sizes of extension tubes, enables you to adjust the focal length according to the needs of your setup to achieve the best results. The inside of the tube is blackened so stray light is blocked, helping to maintain maximum contrast.
