Product description Keep your astronomy optics and accessories dry using Baader Silica Gel with Color Indicator from Alpine Astronomical. This desiccant absorbs extra moisture from its environment and can help your optics and accessories, like eyepieces and cameras, remain water- and fog-free when placed together with this agent in a plastic bag or another sealed container. The gel contains a proprietary dye that will change color from bright orange to beige as it gets saturated with moisture. After absorbing water, this product can be reused through drying it in an oven at a temperature of 302°F for five to six hours. The temperature should be ramped up gradually to prevent cracking of the beads.
