Product description A part of their modular Astro T-2 system, the Alpine Astronomical Baader T-2 90° Astro Amici Erecting Diagonal is compatible with an array of accessories and adapters for visual and imaging use.Optically, the prism has an integrated erecting prism that corrects the view horizontally and vertically—making it ideal for both celestial and terrestrial observations and photography. Its prism has anti-reflection Phantom Group multi-coatings on the exterior surfaces to maximize light transmission across the entire visible spectrum, while highly reflective Broad Band Hard Silver (BBHS) coatings on the interior prism surfaces virtually eliminate diffraction, resulting in very little light loss through the prism system and ensuring views remain bright and clear. A spacious 31mm clear aperture helps to prevent or limit vignetting, especially when imaging with larger-sensor cameras. The design of the prism and performance boost provided by the optical coatings make this version of the Baader Amici capable of handling high magnifications without experiencing fringing and other chromatic aberrations. The prism configuration results in a 90° deflection angle that places your head in a comfortable viewing position when used on refractor or Cassegrain-style telescopes that are pointed high overhead or directly forward. As a component of their Astro T-2 modular system, the housing has standard male T-2 threads on one side and female threads on the other. This stripped-down offering allows you to easily customize the configuration to perfectly match your observing and/or imaging needs by adding different holders, nosepieces, extensions, rings, or any other T-2 accessory or adapter. It also enables you to use the diagonal on different rigs or applications by simply swapping adapters instead of investing in multiple diagonals.
