Product description The Alpine Astronomical Fluorite Flat-Field Converter is designed to deliver exceptional views and images by using a diffraction-limited, apochromatic flat-field lens system with high-transmission multi-coatings. For visual observation, the converter delivers impressive image quality when used as a Barlow lens, with magnification from 3x to 8x depending on the rings and extensions used with it.The large housing produces an impressive 90mm imaging circle to completely cover medium-format camera sensors and limit vignetting. As with its visual use, by changing the distance to the camera sensor with spacers and extensions, you can vary the magnification between 3x and 8x. Threads on the housing fit any T-2 accessory or ring for imaging rigs—including the entire Astro T2 modular system—and fit directly into any 2" eyepiece holder.
