Product description The Phoenix Blacklight 30-55° U.V. Zoom Ellipsoidal from Altman is a variable focus theatrical luminaire intended for dramatic glow-in-the-dark effects in theater and event production. This ellipsoidal has been designed and engineered with a number of details and features enhancing versatility and efficiency without sacrificing performance. The 200W DC ultra short-arc metal halide lamp boasts a 2000 hour lamp life with a 5000 initial lumen output and 50-100% electronic dimmable on-board power supply. The lamp includes an integrated elliptical glass dichroic reflector.
The Phoenix also features tool-free removable heavy gauge stainless steel shutters mounted in separate planes which are fitted with heat-insulated handles. The shutter assembly is spring-loaded to prevent any movement while in operation and will rotate a full 180° to aid in effective illumination of the desired area. An option exists that will allow for full 360° rotation. The smooth, variable focus lens system features Teflon bearings that slide on stainless steel guide rails and produces a 30-55° beam, offering a sharp, distortion-free pattern projection. The generous gobo slot and the two-slot standard 7.5" accessory holder with its self-closing, self-locking retaining latch are just some of the features provided. Altman has gone to great lengths to diminish light leaks from the Phoenix line of fixtures so that no stray light is emitted on unintended areas. - Construction
