Product description With support for 2.5" and 3.5" SATA hard drives or SSDs, the USB 3.0 Superspeed Dual Bay External SATA Hard Drive Duplicator from Aluratek will create a backup of your current drive. If the drive you wish to duplicate is a bootable system drive, the copy will also be bootable.
To operate this duplicator dock, insert the source drive into one side of the dock and the backup drive into the other side. Press the start button and the process will begin. When completed, you'll have a duplicate copy of your drive with all its program files, operating system files, Outlook contacts, personal settings, and more. The LED indicator lights will show the status of the duplication process and there's no need to connect the duplicator to your computer in order to run the duplication process. In addition, this duplicator dock will also function as a plug-and-play, hot swappable, and hot pluggable USB 3.0 (5 Gb/s) and USB 2.0 (480 Mb/s) external hard drive dock for 3.5" and 2.5" drives.
The USB 3.0 Superspeed Dual Bay External SATA Hard Drive Duplicator includes a power adapter and a USB 3.0 cable. It is compatible with Windows and Mac and requires an available USB 3.0 port for use.
