Product description The FirePro S7000 Server Graphics Card from AMD is a server-side graphics card for applications where desktop-grade graphics need to be deployed over a network. It is designed to give thin client and zero client remote users a similar experience to having a local workstation while keeping all of the hardware required for heavy lifting confined to a centralized location for simpler maintenance and administration.
The card features 4GB of GDDR5 memory over a 256-bit memory interface providing a memory bandwidth of 154 GB/s. A DisplayPort output allows local displays to be connected to the card. Using AMD Eyefinity technology and MST hubs or daisy-chainable monitors it is possible to connect up to a total of six displays via DisplayPort.
The FirePro S7000 is designed for applications that require or benefit from the additional processing power a dedicated graphics card provides, such as CAD, video editing, 3D animation, render farms, and financial services. It also supports virtual machine applications, including the installation of multiple GPUs in one server to provide one dedicated GPU per virtual machine. - Popular API Support
- DirectX 11, OpenCL 1.2, OpenGL 4.2 and Shader Model 5.0 support allows GPU-aware applications to benefit from the acceleration provided by a dedicated graphics card, taking much of the workload off the server's CPU
- Virtualization Support
- Supports for VDIs (virtual desktop infrastructures) including RemoteFX, VMware ESX, and Citrix XenServer means this card is capable of providing GPU acceleration to virtual machines from Citrix, VMware, and Microsoft
- 2.4 TFLOPS Performance
- This card is capable of processing up to 2.4 trillion single-precision floating point operations per second as well as 152 billion double-precision floating point operations per second

- Enables temperature reading at boot time

- Dynamically boosts the core clock speed up to 30% wherever possible to allow applications to maximize the processing power they have available while reducing it when not required to conserve energy. At maximum performance the card consumes 150W of power

- Removeable Retention Bracket
- Gives IT the flexibility to install in machines with differing internal layouts
- PCI Express 3.0 x16 Support
- Provides twice the bandwidth of PCI Express 2.0; for example, an x8 PCI Express 3.0 slot has the same bandwidth as a x16 PCI 2.0 slot. In addition, the card remains backward-compatible with motherboards using earlier generations of PCI Express
