Product description The AMD Quad-Core Opteron 2356 Processor features quad-core architecture for powerful server processing applications. The unit's CoolCore and AMD-P (Power Management) technologies enable energy-efficient performance with a low thermal design power level. This model features AMD Virtualization technology as well, which is designed to improve virtualization performance when your server computer is dealing with requests from virtual machine clients. This Opteron processor can sustain a 2.3 GHz base clock speed, a 2.0 GHz integrated memory controller speed, and a system bus speed of 1000 MT/s. Plus, a total of 2MB L2 Cache and 2MB L3 Cache further enhance the processor's overall performance speed. This model is a boxed processor unit without a fan or heatsink.
