The AMD Ryzen Threadripper 1920X processor is compatible with motherboards that sport an X399 chipset and an sTR4 socket. Aside from a compatible motherboard, the processor has a thermal design power of up to 180W, so you're going to need an optional CPU liquid-cooling solution that keeps the chip stable and at optimal speeds.
