Product description The AMD Six-Core Opteron 2427 Processor features a six-core architecture for powerful server processing applications. The unit's CoolCore and AMD-P (Power Management) technologies enable energy-efficient performance with a low thermal design power level. This model features AMD Virtualization technology as well, which is designed to improve virtualization performance when your server computer is dealing with requests from virtual machine clients. To keep you server request work flowing, this Opteron processor can sustain a 2.2 GHz base clock speed, a 2.2 GHz integrated memory controller speed, and a system bus speed of 4800 MT/s. Plus, AMD has equipped each core with L2 and L3 Cache for at total of 3MB L2 Cache and 6MB L3 cache. This model is an OEM/tray microprocessor unit.
