Product description Record high-quality audio with your GoPro camera by plugging in the Ampridge MightyMic G Shotgun Microphone. Featuring a directional polar pattern, the MightyMic G is more sensitive to sounds from the front, putting an emphasis on recording the sounds intended to be heard. Audio quality also improves compared to the internal microphone. A headphone output on the body of the mic lets you monitor your audio signals.
This mic is compatible with the GoPro HERO3, HERO3+, and HERO4. The microphone connects to your GoPro using the included adapter which also provides the necessary power to the microphone. Without the adapter, the MightyMic G will also work with mobile devices including the Apple iPhone and iPad, as well as the Samsung Galaxy. Note: Please note: This item is not compatible with the GoPro HERO5, or later models. - Hypercardioid Directional Pickup Pattern
- This microphone is more sensitive to sounds directly in front of the microphone and less sensitive to sounds coming from the sides or the rear, enabling easier subject isolation compared to the internal GoPro microphone.
- Headphone Monitoring Output
- While the microphone takes up the headphone socket, a 3.5mm output on the body of the microphone itself can be used to monitor outgoing audio signals. Diligent monitoring ensures that the sound recorded is free of distortion or other unwanted characteristics so they can be mitigated before the fact, rather than in post-production.
