Product description The AMT P800i Trumpet and Flugelhorn Microphone System comes complete with the P800 Trumpet Microphone, the Inline preamp, a carry pouch, and AMT’s disconnecting cable technology to allow the microphone to be used wirelessly with the AMT Wi5IIC, Shure, Line 6, or Sabine Wireless (sold separately). The Sennheiser cable is sold separately.
The P800i Trumpet and Flugelhorn Microphone System is intended to clamp onto the bell or other parts of a trumpet or flugelhorn. It is suitable for brass players looking for an "off-the-bell" mounting system or requiring a microphone that can withstand the high SPL levels of a trumpet. The P800i is a good choice for soft to loud music for a principal artist, ensemble setting, or a soloist. The microphone is suspended in a 4-point isolation ring, reducing key and handling noise.
The microphone is suited for professionals looking for natural sound reproduction from a clip-on microphone. It features Disconnect Cable Technology (D.C.T) which allows the user to connect the microphone to the Wi5IIC (sold separately) or to other major-brand wireless systems, thereby creating a beltpack-free wireless system. With a change of cable (sold separately) you can convert the P800i Microphone from a wired to a wireless setup.
The P800i Trumpet Microphone System is specifically designed to handle the highest SPL levels that a trumpet can produce. The element is handmade by AMT and is larger in size than AMT’s standard-size elements (in between a small and large diaphragm). The P800i Microphone System allows even loud trumpet players to use the microphone.
The microphone mounts with a specially designed clamp to the lead pipe of the trumpet or flugelhorn. It is compatible with AMT’s "off-the-bell" mounting system and designed for players who want an alternative to a bell-mounting system. Additional clamps (sold separately) can be used in order to quickly move the microphone from horn to horn. - D.C.T. (Disconnect Cable Technology)
