Product description The AMT P808 Bell Mounted High SPL Clip-On Microphone is designed for trombone, low brass, high pressure trumpet and saxophone playing, requiring a bell mount and producing extreme SPL levels. Designed and manufactured by hand, the system is intended to clip onto flanged bell instruments and is the choice for professionals that play at high SPL levels and are looking for a bell-mounted microphone.The P808 Clip-On Microphone includes features like D.C.T. (Disconnect Cable Technology) with the ability to connect to the Wi5C creating a belt pack free wireless system. The P808 in its stock configuration is a good choice for the players who need a hard wired (non wireless) belt pack style setup. The setup includes the BP 45 belt pack preamp. It can be used wirelessly as well by changing between AMT’s various preamps (sold separately). This system allows the player to easily change to and from AMT's various preamps (sold separately) while also allowing for direct connections to the Wi5C, Shure, or Sennheiser wireless systems (sold separately).With a change of cable (sold separately), you can convert the microphone from a belt-pack style preamp over to a wireless setup quickly and easily. This is a good choice for playing in loud environments such as lead trumpet and rock-n-roll saxophone where high SPL levels are reached. The P808 is intended for a principal artist, ensemble sections, or as a soloist. The microphone is suspended in a 4-point isolation ring reducing key and handling noise. Phantom power or 1 AA battery is required for hardwired / belt-pack use.The P808 Clip-On Microphone comes complete with the BP45 belt pack style preamp, case, and the AMT’s disconnecting cable technology to allow the microphone to be used wireless with the AMT Wi5C, Shure, or Sabine Wireless (sold separately).
