Product description The S19B Studio Tailpiece-Mounted Cello Microphone System includes the S19 electret-condenser microphone, AP40 Studio preamp, and a hard plastic case. The S19 microphone features D.C.T. (disconnecting cable technology) that allows it to be used wirelessly with the AMT Quantum 7 and Wi5IIC. It is also compatible with the Shure Line 6, Sabine Wireless and Sennheiser cables (sold separately).The microphone uses a very tight pattern to give high rejection to surrounding noise, while at the same time reproducing accurately the subtleties of the cello. Its spring-loaded attachment mechanism is designed to securely clamp it to the tailpiece of the cello with one hand, while allowing the gooseneck to be oriented in different positions. The clamp also enables quick and easy removal for traveling or when the microphone is no longer needed. The microphone is manufactured with lightweight aluminum.The AP40 Studio preamp is an electronically balanced power supply that regulates the voltage to the microphone. It includes an XLR output with locking 4-pin input connectors. It requires either phantom power (+ 48V) or one 9V battery.
