Product description The PL6 + 2 Battery Charger from Ansmann is a valuable accessory for anyone who uses rechargeable batteries. The charger can handle AA, AAA, C, D, and 9V batteries. Charging time for a 1000mAh AA battery is approximately 70 minutes. The PL6 + 2 offers several sophisticated features. Each battery is analyzed by the charger to determine its condition. The PL6 + 2 then goes into charging mode or refresh mode to restore damaged batteries. The batteries are charged independently of each other - an LED indicator in each charging slot displays the charge status. The charger also features a quick charge mode that senses the optimal current for the batteries in its slots and charges them with up to 1000mA.The PL6 + 2 has numerous safety features. Once a battery is charged, for instance, it shuts down and reverts to trickle charge to prevent the battery from losing its charge while waiting to use it. The charger will detect, reject the battery and alert the user of this condition. The PL6 + 2 also features auto shutdown and overcharge protection to maintain the best possible performance.
