Product description Replenish the power in a 3.6/3.7V or 7.2/7.4V lithium-ion or lithium-polymer battery pack with this Ansmann Powerline Vario Charger, a versatile unit that can also charge two 1.2V AA or AAA NiMH batteries. The device's adjustable contacts enable it to accommodate most lithium-ion/lithium-polymer packs. The Powerline Vario begins charging automatically, as soon as a battery is connected. Additionally, it features automatic voltage and polarity detection, as well as reverse polarity protection to prevent damage in the event that a battery is inserted incorrectly. Short-circuit protection, faulty cell detection, and a safety timer round out the protective measures built into this universal charger.
Thanks to microprocessor-controlled technology, the Powerline Vario is also capable of automatically detecting when a battery is full--and switching over to trickle charging for NiMH cells to prevent overcharging. Battery power level is clearly indicated on the convenient LDC monitor. The device runs on 100-240 VAC power to enable worldwide use, and includes both a North American type plug for an outlet and a 12 VDC USB vehicle adapter for on-the-go charging.
