• Harmony Engine Evo - Vocal Modeling Harmony Generator Plug-In (Download) The Harmony Engine Evo - Vocal Modeling Harmony Generator from Antares Audio Technologies is a harmony-creation plug-in that lets you quickly produce realistic vocal arrangements and explore harmonic alternatives, out of a single vocal line.The Harmony Engine gives you four, formant-corrected harmony voices, each with its own character, and five channels of CHOIR Vocal Multiplier for thick, unison choir effects. • Mic Mod EFX - Classic Microphone Modeler Plug-In (Download) Mic Mod EFX from Antares is a plug-in that allows the user to change the sound of the microphone they are using to one of a number of well-known classic microphones. The process is simple in that a source microphone is stipulated along with the desired modeled microphone. The effect can be used to simply change the sound of the source microphone, or to experiment in live situations with microphones that would not normally be utilized, or to change the sound of a recorded track later in a mixing session.
  
  Additional controls allow for creating a proximity effect, for employing a low-cut filter if the model supports it, for experimenting with polar patterns in both the source and destination microphones, or for adding tube saturation to a track. Note: An iLok is required if one is not already on the system.
  Applications
  • 
    Source and modeled microphones - simply select the current microphone (or the one used during an original recording) and the desired modeled microphone
    Proximity controls create the bass boost effect that results from placing a directional microphone in close proximity to a signal source (e.g., a singer's lips) - create the effects of different microphone distances based on the specific physical properties of each individual modeled microphone
    If the selected modeled microphone has a low cut filter, model the effects of any of its settings with the modeled microphone low-cut menu
    If the source microphone has variable pickup patterns, enter the selected pattern in the source microphone pattern menu for further experimentation - likewise for the modeled microphone
    Tube saturation control imparts the warmth of a high-quality tube preamp to any given track

• WARM - Tube Saturation Generator (Download) WARM from Antares is a plug-in tool that allows for "warming up" vocals using the company's renowned analog tube modeling technology. To achieve its ends, the software utilizes 2 tube models, a variable Drive control (to adjust the amount of dynamic saturation), and an "OmniTube" function to apply the tube effect to the entire signal (as opposed to just the transients). Exteremely CPU efficient, and functioning as an Audio Units, RTAS or VST plug-in for Mac OS X or Windows based audio software, it is quite feasible to put the plug-in on virtually every track in a project without over stressing the computer's CPU. • ASPIRE Evo - Aspiration Noise Processor Plug-In (Download) ASPIRE Evo from Antares is a plug-in tool for modifying a voice's breathiness independently of its harmonic content. It can be used to reduce a bit of vocal rasp, or to add a bit of "smokiness" to a vocal performance, without otherwise affecting the vocal's harmonic characteristics. When you speak or sing, air from your lungs is forced through the vocal chords, causing them to vibrate. The resulting waveform is propagated through the throat, the mouth and out through the lips. It is the shape of these structures that create the resonant characteristics that define a unique vocal identity. The vocal waveform is actually a combination of two different components. The first is the primary element of vocal timbre, the harmonic content. However, there is a second component that is generated by the turbulence of the air rushing past the vocal chords. This component, aspiration noise, does not have harmonic content and can roughly be thought of as "breathiness". Aspiration noise presents itself in a variety of ways, from a subtle bit of breathiness to a full-blown rasp. The talk box was a processor that allowed for extracting the formant and amplitude information from a vocal (or other dynamic source) and applying it to any other audio track or to a built-in broadband noise generator. The processor does not mix the control signal with the original, but rather computes a new signal that contains the extracted information. Functioning as an AAX Native, Audio Units, RTAS, or VST3 plug-in for Mac or Windows based audio software, ARTICULATOR Evo is perfect for creating talking guitars, singing synthesizers, and a wide range of special effects. • THROAT Evo - Physical Modeling Vocal Designer (Download) THROAT Evo from Antares is a plug-in tool that allows for processing a vocal through a meticulously crafted physical model of the human vocal tract. The software begins by neutralizing the effect of the original singer's vocal tract and then providing the ability to specify new characteristics of a modeled vocal tract. Specifically, the software controls allow the user to modify the voice's glottal waveform, as well as globally stretch, shorten, widen or constrict the modeled vocal tract. For even more detailed control, the graphical Throat Shaping display allows for individually adjusting the position and width of 5 points in the vocal tract model - from the vocal chords, through the throat, mouth and out to the lips. THROAT Evo's Breathiness controls let the user add variable frequency noise to the model, resulting in a range of vocal effects from a full rasp, to subtle breathiness, and on to a full whisper. Also possible is pitch shifting the voice up or down an octave to create a wide range of alternative vocal characters.
