Product description - Introducing Goliath HD | Antelope Audio
- Goliath ThunderboltTM, USB and MADI Audio Interface with 16 Mic Pres
- Getting Started with Goliath | Antelope Audio
With 16 Class-A mic preamps, extensive analog & digital connectivity and an array of integrated hardware-based FPGA effects, the Goliath HD from Antelope is an HDX, Thunderbolt, USB 3.0, and MADI audio interface designed to function as the hub of your studio or live recording setup. The I/O offers up to 64 channels (32 analog inputs and outputs) of I/O, 24-bit/192 kHz AD/DA conversion, a mastering-grade monitor output with an impressive 132 dB of dynamic range, and additional connectivity via ADAT, S/PDIF, AES/EBU, and DB25 connectors. The Goliath HD allows engineers to accommodate producers who come to the session with their laptop, by integrating their projects into the studio's existing HD setup with simultaneous streaming of audio via HDX and low-latency Thunderbolt Gen2 or USB 3.0 modes. It also features proprietary HDX Delay Compensation technology, which ensures analog and digital sources are sample-accurate when they arrive in Pro Tools HD's timeline. Precise clocking is provided by Antelope's 64-bit Acoustically Focused Clocking (AFC) technology which provides for low jitter, natural and detailed sound, and 129 dB of dynamic range. The Goliath HD is equipped with a Field-Programmable Gate Array (FPGA) chip, which allows for the creation of low-latency mixes, routing, and FX modeling. The unit comes with a library of classic hardware EQs, compressors, and the AuraVerb reverb. It opens a variety of creative options such as monitor-mixing with reverb, tracking through modeled vintage EQ & compression and routing to external gear in real time.Other features include two independent headphone outputs, four instrument DI inputs, two transformer reamp outputs, a mute button, a mono button, and a talkback button. All functions on the unit can be accessed from a high-resolution touchscreen control display, with multichannel metering, easy access to preferences, presets, and clocking modes. The interface is fully controllable via an intuitive OS X- and Windows-compatible desktop app or from a smartphone or tablet via the iOS and Android apps. For complex and large-scale setups, all features are also accessible from multiple computers in the same network. The Goliath HD features quiet operation. - Pro Tools HD Native Integration
