Product description Safely shut down computer systems and guard connected equipment from surges with the Back-UPS 650VA Battery Backup & Surge Protector from APC. The UPS is armed with a total of seven NEMA 5-15R outlets, with five providing surge and backup power and two designed for surge protection only. In the event of a power outage, it comes equipped with an internal battery that delivers up to 360W of power. The battery-powered outlets provide up to 2.5 minutes of use at full load and 51 minutes at 50W. For electrical spikes, the UPS has a 490J surge energy rating. There's also a USB port that delivers up to 1.5A of power for charging smartphones, MP3 players, and other battery-powered devices. Included along with the backup UPS is a USB cable and a downloadable PowerChute software program to monitor energy usage and prevent data corruption by automatically saving files and shutting down a computer system. - Battery Backup
- The BN650M1 is designed to maximize runtime for devices such as multiple PCs and television equipment that consume high amounts of power. After these devices are safely shut down, the BN650M1 continues to run low power loads (such as home networking equipment) for over 4 hours during extended outages.
- Power Protection and Convenience
- The BN650M1 features a total of seven power outlets, all of which shield your devices against surges and spikes in voltage. Five of these are UPS battery backup outlets that provide instant power to connected devices when there is an outage. For added convenience, the BN650M1 provides one USB charging port, allowing you to conveniently charge your mobile devices during power emergencies. This UPS also offers 3 transformer-block spaced outlets, so you can connect bulky transformers without covering other outlets.
- Shutdown and Power Management Software
- APC PowerChute Personal Edition power and energy management software prevents data corruption by automatically saving files and shutting down your system in an extended power outage or low-battery condition. PowerChute monitors and displays energy usage and reduces costs via customized energy management planning. Simply connect the USB cable that's included with the UPS to your computer to easily download and use the software.
- Warranty and Equipment Protection Policy
- The Back-UPS BN650M1 is covered by a three-year limited warranty. It also comes with a lifetime connected equipment protection policy of up to $75,000. APC will repair or replace attached devices that sustain surge-related damage while properly connected to a registered Back-UPS uninterruptible power supply unit.
