Product description The Back-UPS 500 6 Outlet Battery Backup and Surge Protection (120V) from APC provides professional power protection and battery backup for computer systems. Safe system shutdown and advanced power management capabilities keep systems and data safe via serial or USB connection, and built-in phone/fax/modem (DSL-compatible) connections protect systems from surges traveling on data lines.
The UPS features six outlets, three of which provide battery backup, and another three which are surge-protected. Its battery provides 13.9 minutes of run time at half-load capacity. APC offers guaranteed protection from surges and spikes with a lifetime, $100,000 Equipment Protection Policy. - Battery Backup
- The user-replaceable battery provides 13.9 minutes of backup at half-load and 2.4 minutes of backup at full-load. This gives you enough time to safely shut down your computer in the event of a power outage.
- Data Line Protection
- The surge protector features an RJ-11 surge protection connection that allows you to protect modem connections from power surges. This helps to preserve the life of your modem and further protect your computer from surges.
- Spaced Outlets
- The UPS features two spaced outlets that are designed to accommodate devices with large "power brick" AC adapters. This lets you power and protect these devices without sacrificing another plug due to their large size.
- Audible Alarms
- The surge protector features an audible alarm that lets you know when there is a problem with your power. This helps to make you aware of a power outage or surge.
