Product description Provide basic protection against power surges and spikes for computers and electronics using the Essential SurgeArrest 6-Outlet Surge Protectors with USB Charging from APC. This package bundles two units together, each of which has six NEMA 5-15R outlets, one NEMA 5-15P input connection, an input voltage of 120V @ 50/60 Hz, a 15A input/line current, and a surge energy rating of 1080 joules. There are also two integrated 2.4A USB Type-A charging ports per unit for devices such as smartphones and tablets, and one of those ports is equipped with Smart Charging technology to help maximize charging speeds according to the type of device detected. This SurgeArrest model utilizes an integrated 4' power cord and turns on and off using a recessed power switch. Protection is provided by a limited lifetime warranty, and connected equipment that is damaged while the SurgeArrest is active will be covered up to $50,000. Safety - Building Wiring Fault Indicator
- This LED informs users of potentially dangerous wiring problems in the wall circuit.
- Protection Working Indicator
- SurgeArrest will warn you if its circuitry has been damaged by a heavy strike or power line surge and it is unable to provide 100% protection. If still under warranty, APC will then replace your damaged SurgeArrest free of charge.
- Fail Safe Mode
- Most other surge suppressors continue to let power through even after their circuits have been damaged, leaving your equipment exposed to future surges. With APC's SurgeArrest fail safe, once the circuit of an APC SurgeArrest has been compromised, the unit disconnects equipment from the power supply, helping to ensure that no damaging surges reach your equipment.
- Catastrophic Event Protection
- SurgeArrest components such as MOVs and thermal fuse help ensure an instantaneous reaction to lightning strikes and wiring faults. If the surge components are damaged due to power spikes or over voltage, excess power cannot reach your equipment. Unlike the APC SurgeArrest products, most surge suppressors continue to let power through even after circuits have been damaged, leaving your equipment exposed to other damaging surges.

- IEEE Let-Through Ratings and Regulatory Agency Compliance
- APC surge protectors undergo stringent testing by the IEEE, and have been awarded "let-through ratings," which indicate the maximum voltage level that can possibly reach your equipment after a surge or voltage spike has passed through an electric surge protector. Lower IEEE let-through ratings indicate better protection and performance. The APC Essential SurgeArrest series offers performance with a let-through rating of less than 330 to 500V for North American products, and a rating of less than 15% for products sold worldwide. All APC products comply with local agency safety requirements, including UL in North America and CE/Kema/Gost/C-tick/A-Tick/Telepermit in their respective regions.
