Product description The Low-Profile Bean Bag from Apex Bean Bag is a versatile support intended for use with DSLRs and mirrorless cameras, especially those mounted on a gimbal or ball head. This low-profile version of Apex's larger bean bags is designed for cars with smaller windows; it's an inch shorter than the Mini Bean Bag and a full 4" shorter than the standard Bean Bag.
Designed for cameras with lenses as long as 800mm, the Low Profile Bean Bag features a U-shape design that makes it perfect for mounting on any narrow or round surface, such as a fence, a car door, or a tree branch. The inside of the "U" is lined with a high-tack, anti-friction surface that prevents the bag from slipping. The bag also features an easily accessible fill zipper that allows you to customize the amount and type of filling that's inside the bag. A durable weather-resistant flap has been added to protect the zipper from debris and damage.
Aside from the filling, the bag also includes an aircraft-grade aluminum plate that, along with an integrated 3/8"-16 mounting thread, can support the attachment of most tripod heads. The plate is also removable, so it can be used as a traditional bean bag support.
You can also invert the Low Profile Bean Bag to nestle a telephoto lens into the "U" portion, perfect for shooting from a flat surface such as a car hood or the ground. Note: Filler not included. - The window-straddling design negates the need to purchase a bulky and heavy aluminum window mount
