Product description The Aputure DEC Vari-ND EF to MFT-Mount Adapter allows you to attach Canon EF/EF-S mount lenses to MFT-mount cameras and remotely control focus, aperture, A-B focus points, and 9 stops of ND (ND8 - ND2048). The DEC Vari-ND has all the features of the original Aputure DEC adapters, and adds a built-in electronic liquid crystal variable ND filter. In addition to reducing the amount of light for longer exposures, it lets you achieve motion blur under bright light with the iris wide open, and provides enhanced control over depth of field.
The DEC Vari-ND adapter has an optical design with lens coating, and reaches a lens transparency of up to 98%. It produces neutral colors with no shifting that's common to traditional ND filters, and no polarization, eliminating the possibility of getting stuck with the "X" pattern on your footage.
Included is a comprehensive package containing the lens adapter, a receiver that attaches to the adapter over a robust LEMO-type connection, a wireless remote handgrip, and more. In the previous DEC models, the receiver was an integrated part of the adapter and didn't offer any controls. You were only able to make adjustments from the wireless handgrip. But the DEC Vari-ND has an updated design wherein the receiver has a control wheel that allows you to adjust the focus and ND stops. So you can now make selections from the handgrip or directly from the adapter. The remote handgrip also has a rosette adapter so you can attach it to your tripod.
The DEC Vari-ND is made mainly of copper and aircraft-grade aluminum, and incorporates velvet on the interior to ensure optimum stability. An impact-proof hard case is included for the entire package, and a smaller ABS case is also supplied for the lens cartridge to better protect it inside the main case. - Key Features
