Product description Capture photos and video over, under, or near the water's surface with your Canon 70D or 80D DSLR in this AquaTech Compac 70D Underwater Sport Housing. Featuring a depth rating of 33', AquaTech housings are designed for shallow water and surface use, and shouldn't be operated at depths beyond 15' for longer than five minutes.
The Compac 70D's tactile, mechanical controls provide easy access to important camera functions, and its ergonomic design and side grip offer optimal handling and comfort. This housing also comes with a Pistol Grip Trigger for remote firing capability and focus control, allowing you to capture blur-free images with ease. The trigger includes a waterproof shutter release switch and cable release as well as all mounting hardware. An optional 27" Pole Shutter Extension kit can be attached to the pistol grip to offer extra reach when shooting at certain angles.
The housing's polyurethane body has reinforced quick-release clips and tactile controls made of stainless steel, aluminum, and high strength plastics. All of the aluminum parts have been anodized for resistance to corrosion and other wear and tear. The O-rings that secure the housing's inner controls are greased during assembly and a small tube of O-ring grease is included for continued maintenance of the metal shafts of the housing's push controls.
An optional flash bulkhead sync connector, supplied with the flash housing, enables the Compac 70D to work with optional accessories such as external flash units and pocket wizards. A threaded 3/8"-16 mounting point at the bottom of the housing enables connection to an optional tripod or tray. The Compac 70D sport housing ships without a required lens port, and accepts a series of screw-mounted ports for for a range of lenses.
