Product description The Complete Close Up Kit With +5 / +10 Wet Diopter Lenses / Macro Port Lens Holder from Aquatica consists of a +5 and a +10 wet diopter lens that mount externally on the front of your macro port. Each is positioned directly in front of your standard macro lens and adds magnification power to it. Conveniently, the Wet Diopter can be easily added or removed as needed during a dive, enabling you to move from normal close up to super macro work with no trouble at all. Constructed from military-grade, anodized aluminum and achromatic dual-element BK-7 mineral glass encased in air, the lens helps eliminate aberration and distortion, enhancing sharpness and preserving the magnification of the original lens when submerged. This dual-element, or "doublet," design also offers greater performance than a single element construction can provide.
The Wet Diopter is treated with both a scratch-resistant and anti-reflective coating for maximum protection and brightness. It maintains the highest standard of optical performance, offering a flat focus plane virtually free of color fringing. Super macro excellence is well within reach with the +5, which provides up to 1.5:1 magnification with a standard 105mm macro lens, or with the +10, which provides up to 2.2:1 magnification with the same lens. Enjoy the power to bring to light minute details that escape the naked eye.
The mounting of the close up lens is performed via a unique press fit method, making for fast, secure attachment. A quick mount, enabling underwater lens attachment and removal in mere seconds, and 67mm mounting threads for wide compatibility with various underwater housings, are incorporated into the lens design. The included aluminum holder, also anodized to military specifications, mounts on any of Aquatica's bayonet macro ports. Its fastener won't scratch or damage the protective layer of anodizing on the port.
