Product description RAID Arrays for Photography and Pro Video Read More The ARC-8050T3-12-48TB 48TB 12-Bay Thunderbolt 3 RAID Array from Areca comes with twelve drive bays along with two Thunderbolt 3 ports to provide a Windows or Mac system with additional storage capacities for editing environments. The drive bays are compatible with user-supplied drives that feature SAS 12 Gb/s or SATA 6 Gb/s interfaces. The ARC-8050T3 is armed with a dual-core 1.2 GHz RAID-On-Chip and 2GB of DDR3 ECC memory to offer hardware RAID protection, which enables you to configure your drives in a RAID 0, 1, 1E, 3, 5, 6, 10, 30, 50, 60, single disk, or JBOD array. Each of the two Thunderbolt 3 ports delivers up to 40 Gb/s transfer speeds and supports up to six Thunderbolt-enabled devices on a daisy-chain. To further expand your system's storage capability, you can connect additional storage units to the ARC-8050T3's Thunderbolt 3 or SFF-8644 expansion ports. For cooling the internal components and your drives, two cooling fans are on board. There's also a 400W power supply for powering your drives and the ARC-8050T3. - Thunderbolt 3 brings speeds of up to 40 Gb/s and offers a versatile connection to any dock, display, or data device. The ARC-8050T3 is equipped with two Thunderbolt 3 ports for connecting to any Thunderbolt 3-enabled host and offers an additional Thunderbolt 3 port for daisy-chaining other peripherals, while also supplying power for quick notebook charging. The Thunderbolt daisy-chaining connection supports up to six devices, so you can connect multiple ARC-8050T3 solutions for large amounts of video storage with a single Thunderbolt connection to your host computer. The ARC-8050T3 also sports a full-sized DisplayPort video output on its rear, allowing for a quick and easy 4K 60Hz display setup.

It runs efficiently without disruption or major drops in performance to meet the requirements of 4K data workflows. Additionally, it drives multiple 4K displays simultaneously while outputting 4K visuals and file transfers.

It allows you to hot swap a drive in the event of a drive failure with zero downtime. With Intelligent power On/Off function, it can intelligently power down the unit after the Thunderbolt host shuts down everything for data integrity. The ARC-8050T3 also supports a battery backup option that protects all data in cache memory in the event of an unexpected power outage. Board-level hardware encryption manages many kinds of drives attached to ARC-8050T3 without impacting the performance for higher levels of security.

The ArcSAP quick manager is a multi-language management software specifically designed for managing and configuring the ARC-8050T3 RAID storage. The intelligent cooling system continuously adapts to environmental conditions by automatically controlling the speed of the cooling fans. You can even configure ARC-8050T3 to intelligently spin down drives during periods of inactivity to further reduce noise and save energy.
