Product description Principally designed as a scope, Armasight's Predator 336 2-8x25 Thermal Weapon Sight can also pull duty as a magnified spotting scope or handheld thermal imager. To detect targets day or night; through smoke, snow, fog, or dust the Predator is equipped with a solid-state uncooled 336x256 FLIR Tau 2 VOx microbolometer. Unlike laser targeting or near-infrared illumination often used with NVDs, the Predator is extremely difficult to detect with other devices, as it emits no visible light or RF energy.View thermal images utilizing the in-view color display or relay them through the video output port for viewing on an external monitor or for recording, the same port can be used to import information from external sources. The user-friendly menu allows you to choose between image filtering/enhancement options, different display color modes, and one of six reticle options in one of three colors. The aluminum alloy housing is lightweight and durable, and to compliment its wide operational temperatures it is nitrogen filled and o-ring sealed to provide water and fogproof performance under most conditions. A dual quick-release Picatinny mount allows the scope to be easily removed and remounted without tools or having to be re-zeroed, and an integrated side rail on the scope accommodates accessories such as an optional battery pack or recording device.
