Product description The M8 HMI System I with High Speed Ballast from ARRI provides everything you'll need but an optional lamp, to get up and running on-set with dynamic high speed technology. The kit includes an M8 lamp head with MAX technology, the EB 575/800W 1000Hz High Speed Ballast, a 50' head to ballast cable, and a 4-way barndoor set. The M8 HMI High Speed Head uses lensless MAX technology to combine the characteristics of a Fresnel and PAR source. With a focus range of 14.7-16° normally only achieved with supplementary lenses, the M8's output more closely resembles that of a 1000W or 1200W HMI Fresnel but with a far more compact form factor. That translates to more light output with less physical labor and heavy breakable glass. Innovations include CCL, which compensates for power loss when using long cables and cross cooling which separates the electronics from the lamp housing and allows safe tilting of the head up to 90 degrees. The EB 575/800W 1000Hz High Speed Ballast powers the ground-breaking M8 lamp head with MAX reflector technology, offering 1000Hz capability for frame rates of 1000 fps and beyond. The EB 575/800W allows flicker-free high speed shooting of sports events, industrial applications, automotive, component testing, and ballistics or material testing. This versatile power source has been streamlined and packed with features like CCL to compensate for power loss over long cable runs and Active Line Filter to counter electromagnetic interference.
