Product description The AR5 Active Ribbon Microphone from ART features an active preamp module, a figure-8 pickup pattern, and is powered by 48V phantom power. It delivers the classic ribbon tone with an increased output, a more stable frequency, and a better dynamic response that can be used with various differing-input channel strips or preamps for live stage, recording studios, and more. The AR5 can handle high sound-pressure levels approaching a 150 db range. The low-tension 2-micron aluminum ribbons offer audio reproduction with smooth, natural, extended low- and high-frequency responses. It is built with a precision-tooled body and dent-resistant, stainless-steel wire-mesh windscreen that offers long-term reliability. Furthermore, the included shockmount virtually eliminates vibration and handling noise, while at the same time safely secures the microphone in any position needed during the recording process.
